Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) is an annual Scouting event that uses amateur radio to link Scouts around the world, around the nation, and in our own community. This worldwide jamboree requires you to travel locally only as far as Camp Carpenter, in order to travel the airwaves worldwide. Members of the Granite State Amateur Radio Association build stations that highlight many different wireless communication methods, and give scouts a hands-on experience with the excitement and benefits of Amateur (Ham)…

Scouting Heritage Merit Badge

Several volunteer members of our Museum staff are registered counselors for the  Scouting Heritage Merit Badge. Individuals or groups are welcome to schedule a visit specifically to work on this advancement activity.  Just by walking through the door (and reading a few exhibits), Scouts can fulfill requirements 1, 2a, 2b, 3, 4c, and part of 8. Scavenger Hunts
